Amplifi Napa Valley announces artist grant recipients
Amplifi Napa Valley, a non-profit that focuses on supporting local emerging talent, has announced its 2025 grant recipients which “reflect the incredible diversity and creative spirit of Napa Valley.”
Each artist recipient will receive between $5,000 and $10,000 to invest in training, coaching, and professional development.
Amplifi also supports community organizations that help amplify emerging artists through showcases, instruction and mentorship. The grants range from $3,500 to $20,000, based on project scope and impact.
“These grants offer direct support to exceptional rising artists and cultural leaders that are committed to pushing creative boundaries and enriching our cultural community,” said Executive Director Olivia E. Dodd.
The grants are given annually to help musicians, playwrights and creatives with resources they need to refine their craft and to access new opportunities. The grantees range from classical musicians to hip-hop artists and indigenous story tellers.
This year’s recipients are:
Andrea Barrera – Salvadoran singer-songwriter and winner of Napa Idol NV 2024
Jocelyn Paniagua – Student pianist and performer in Phantom of the Opera
Susy Guzman (Suvicguz) – Salvadoran-Nicaraguan singer and songwriter
Desirea Harp – Mishewal Wappo tribe member revitalizing traditions through song
Aisha Rivera – Poet laureate and playwright advancing Spanish-language theater
Jennifer Pan – Carnegie Hall performer and founder of UnitedMelodies.org
Matthew Osivwemu (Oke Junior) – Oakland-based hip-hop artist with 2M+ streams
Simon Eisele – Youth pianist invited to tour Italy with his school choir
Charlene “Cher” Alberto – Playwright blending ‘80s hits and Spanish folk in new musical “SOL”
