No one was injured Sunday when a pickup truck crashed into a power pole on the Silverado Trail near Paraduxx Winery, causing another one to fall down, according to the California Highway Patrol. The Silverado Trail was closed for 16 hours from Yountville Crossroad to Oakville Crossroad.

At about 3:45 a.m. Sunday, Abisaid Lopez, 26, was driving in the rain in a 2018 Chevy Colorado, southbound on the Silverado Trail, when, for reasons still under investigation, the pickup truck veered off the roadway and crashed into a PG&E pole, CHP spokesman Marc Renspurger said Tuesday.  The crash caused another power pole to come down, Renspurger said. A rock wall at Paraduxx Winery was damaged.

Lopez, a passenger and a 2-year-old child, were unharmed, Renspurger said. The child was in a car seat; the driver and the passenger were wearing their seatbelts, he said.

Neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be a factor in the crash, Renspurger said.

The crash and the repairs to the power poles caused the roadway to be closed until Sunday evening, authorities said.

More rain is expected in Napa County, according to the National Weather Service. A flood watch is in place until 10 p.m. Friday. A wind advisory has been issued for Tuesday night.
