Tables are set in Yountville every day, yet this weekend a very large dinner party will take place outdoors in the center of The Estate Yountville. The Napa Valley Education Foundation (NVEF) and Yountville Chamber of Commerce are co-hosting the inaugural Yountville Table on Saturday, July 19. Proceeds will benefit NVEF.

“Every student deserves an education that sparks passion and possibility,” said Jennifer Stewart, executive director of NVEF. “The Napa Valley Education Foundation invests in learning that extends beyond the classroom — through the arts, wellness, career readiness, and hands-on experiences, making learning relevant and fulfilling for every young person. Because when we prioritize learning, students grow into confident, capable members of our community.”

Earlier this year, the NVEF acquired the former Oxbow School campus in downtown Napa, transforming it into a creative learning center now called the Discovery Campus.

This summer, camps and workshops have been underway, focused upon music, culinary arts and mentoring. Some of the results of these programs will be shared at The Yountville Table.

Stewart said three student music groups will perform at the event, and some of the sweetest tastes of the evening will be desserts created by NVEF Culinary Camp students who have been learning from professional chefs at the Discovery Campus.

Made possible by generous donors and partners, The Music Connection held camps on the Discovery Campus this summer where students fine-tuned their music skills by practicing in sectionals, focusing on ensemble work, and playing music games. The event will feature a long dinner table set in the middle of The Estate Yountville, whose on-site culinary team will prepare a feast for the crowd.

A welcome reception at 6 p.m. will feature small bites including arancini crispy saffron rice balls; Mary’s Free-Range Korean fried chicken; mini Dungeness crab cakes with Remoulade and veggie spring rolls. These will be paired with wines from Silverado Vineyards, Foley Johnons, Reid Family and Huino as attendees bid on silent auction items.

The four-course dinner will follow, with entertainment by the NVEF Mariachi Ensemble, as well as vocal numbers from the Napa High School A Cappella Group.

An extensive dinner menu will include watermelon gazpacho infused with mint and crème fraîche; spinach salad; classic Caesar salad; oven-roasted New York strip strip steak with mushrooms and roasted cipollini; pan-seared halibut with lemon buerre blanc; potato gratin; grilled broccolini and crispy Brussels sprouts with pancetta.

The dessert course will include selections made by NVEF Culinary Camp students and Bouchon Bakery. Dinner wines have been donated by wineries including Matthiason, Priest Ranch, Big Cat, Cliff Lede, St. Supery, Lewis Cellars and Cornerstone.

At 8p.m., the live auction will commence with offerings ranging from luxurious getaways to Michelin-star dining and Napa Valley adventures. Emmy award-winning radio and television personality Liam Mayclem will emcee.

Proceeds will support the foundation’s ongoing transformation of the former Oxbow School campus into a hub for hands-on learning and workforce development, with a focus on expanding career pathways primarily in hospitality and culinary fields.

“The Town of Yountville is pleased to be supporting NVEF with the inaugural Yountville Table,” said Yountville Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Natalie Leighton. “The Pavilion at the Estate Yountville provides a stunning backdrop for this special gathering to benefit the youth of the Napa County.”

Tickets are $350 per person, or $250 for Yountville residents with a valid mailing address. Tickets are available at yountvilletable.com.
