Pickett Fire prompts evacuations outside Calistoga city limits.

Napa County has issued evacuation orders after a wildfire fire broke out a right before 3 p.m. today in the 2300 block of Pickett Road near Calistoga.
The fire has spread to 1,200 acres, prompting evacuation orders and warnings.
The Napa County Sheriff’s Office ordered evacuations for zones E120 and E114 and issued warnings for zones E151, E121 and E122. Road closures were reported on Pickett and Rosedale roads.
New evacuation orders were issued just before 5:30 p.m. to include areas north of Clover Flat Road and West of Dutch Henry Road.
Air and ground resources are responding to the fire, which was spreading at a moderate rate of speed, according to Cal Fire.

“Firefighters are at the scene and trying to gain control,” Said Cal Fire spokesperson Tyree Zander. “If people can stay away from the Calistoga area off the Silverado Trail by Pickett Road, that would be best for the first responders
Frediani Vineyards reported in a Facebook post around 4 p.m. that the smoke was “staying up high.” The winery did not think that any structures were in danger at this point.
The Calistoga Community Center, located at 1307 Washington St., is open for evacuees. Small pets are accepted.
