Teen WILD, a year-long teen volunteer program offered by the American Canyon Community & Parks Foundation. Teen WILD (Wilderness Inspired Leadership & Development) participants help the Parks Foundation engage the community in nature-based play, environmental education and making healthy choices for the mind and body.
Teen WILD is a 12-month commitment starting in May to volunteering with the Parks Foundation at community events, environmental education and conservation programs.
Participants can design, plan and host nature-based community events. They can expect to earn 20-25 hours of volunteer credit with one to two opportunities each month. They can choose a focused service project (conservation, environmental education or community outreach).
Teen WILD is open to teens entering 9th to 12th grades in fall 2025. Participants will be required to attend orientation on Sunday, May 18, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Parks Foundation offices and quarterly planning meetings. Applications close May 2.
