Kelseyville man arrested Friday in shooting incident near Calistoga
May be booked on suspicion of killing a woman in Lake County

A Kelseyville man arrested in Napa County Friday on suspicion of shooting at a vehicle near Calistoga may also be connected to a homicide and another shooting incident in Lake County, according to law enforcement officials.
Coleman Guy Rocheleau, 38, was expected to be booked on suspicion of murder and assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. As of Friday evening, it was unclear whether he would be booked in Napa or in Lake County.
At around 10:45 a.m. Friday, a driver called 911 from the 1000 block of Dunaweal Lane near Calistoga to report that she had been shot in the face, the Napa County Sheriff’s Office reported. The incident may have been a road rage incident, Napa County Sheriff’s spokesman Henry Wofford said.
Shortly thereafter, Napa County Sheriff’s detectives identified the suspect’s car via the Flock Safety surveillance system.
The driver, later identified as Rocheleau, was southbound on Highway 29 near Zinfandel Lane, Wofford said. The car began to flee when law enforcement officers approached the suspect, and a pursuit ensued. It ended at around 11:15 a.m. near Wine Country Avenue in Napa, according to the Napa County Sheriff’s Office. The Napa County law enforcement officers used the Precision Immobilization Technique – or PIT – to stop the car and arrest Rocheleau who was the sole occupant of the vehicle. Officers who use the PIT technique tap the rear of the pursued vehicle to stop it.
Lake County Sheriff’s Office then reported that Rocheleau was also suspected in a second vehicle shooting earlier Friday morning. At 8:30 a.m., shots had been reported fired at a vehicle near Highway 29 and Point Lakeview Road in Kelseyville Riviera. It was unclear if anyone was injured.
During their interview with Rocheleau, however, Napa County Sheriff’s detectives learned there may be a body inside a house in Lake County, Wofford said.
Lake County Sheriff’s deputies then found the body of a woman inside the residence in the 10000 block of Terrace Way in Kelseyville Riviera, according to Lake County Sheriff’s Office. The identity of the woman was not released Friday pending next-of-kin notification, Lake County officials said.
The driver who reported being shot near Calistoga was hospitalized, Wofford said. Her identity and condition were unavailable.
Drivers reported traffic jams along Highway 29 during the incidents. Napa County Sheriff’s sent an alert a little before noon to avoid Wine Country Avenue due to a “traffic collision.” Dunaweal Lane remained closed at Silverado Trail for about 3 1/2 hours.
