Napa gets ready for Earth Day 2025
Napa celebrates Earth Day’s 55th anniversary on April 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Oxbow Commons in Napa.
The annual community festival, hosted by the Environmental Education Coalition of Napa County, provides educational and entertaining activities for all ages with interactive displays, live music and dance performances, crafts and games.
People can also join the Earth Day Cleanup before the celebration from 9 until 11:30 a.m. at sites including downtown and Oxbow, South Jefferson Wetlands, Vintage High School quad and Kennedy Park boat launch. Get more information at the website.
The Napa County Resource Conservation District leading the cleanup recommended,
“Bring your own bucket, gloves, and trash grabber if you have them, but we will have some to share at each site. Wear sturdy shoes, dress in layers, and bring a full water bottle.”

Partners supporting the clean-up are Environmental Education Coalition of Napa County; Napa Recycling & Waste Services; Napa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District; Napa Valley CanDo; City of Napa; Friends of the Napa River and Enjoy Napa Valley kayaking service.
The celebration at Oxbow Commons will feature information from organizations including the Napa County Beekeepers Association and the Napa Valley Naturalists. The Ballet Folklórico Quetzalli will perform.
Attendants can learn about sustainable local products and services while enjoying local food, wine and beer. All proceeds from beer and wine sales support the EECNC Field Trip Bus Grant Program and the Darcy Aston Environmental Advocacy Scholarship for Napa County students. A water bottle refilling station will be available, and Napa Bike Coalition will provide a free bike valet. Admission to the event is free, and dogs on a leash are welcome.
