Native Plant Society Sale and Wildflower Show

The Napa Valley Chapter of California Native Plant Society will hold its spring sale and wildflower show on Saturday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Skyline Wilderness Park. More than 1,000 hard-to-find native plants of more than 125 species for sun and shade will be for sale.
Admission to Skyline Park will be free during the sale.
Whether your garden is large or small, flat or hilly, sunny or shady, they have the plants for you. Experts will answer your questions and help with plant selection. The rich diversity of California’s native flora will satisfy every gardener’s needs. California native plants are not only perfect for the water-wise landscape, they also provide habitat and food for our native bees, butterflies and other beneficial insects, birds and small mammals.
Are you replacing a lawn? Consider a collection of hardy, drought-tolerant flowering shrubs, perennials, grasses and groundcovers as a beautiful and eco-friendly alternative.
The adjacent Martha Walker California Native Habitat Garden, maintained by the Napa Chapter, will be open to see the native plants in a landscape setting.
All proceeds from the sale benefit the maintenance, improvement and educational programs of the Garden and the Napa Chapter.
The Wildflower Show will display more than 100 Napa County wildflowers. This is sure to be a banner year, so don’t miss this opportunity to find out what those plants are that you see on your walks or drives around the county. You are also welcome to join a guided Wildflower Walk in the Park at 11 a.m. or 1 p.m.
