The death of a woman found dead Thursday at Bardessono in Yountville remains under investigation, the Napa County Sheriff’s Office said on Friday afternoon.

The Napa County Sheriff’s Office identified the woman as Ahmyiah Iman Pinkney, 24, of Sacramento. She was found in a hotel room dead of a gunshot wound. Napa County Sheriff’s detectives continue to investigate the case.

A statement from the sheriff’s office issued on Friday said, “At this time, the incident is being investigated as a suspicious death. There is no known threat to public safety.”

Napa County Sheriff’s deputies on Thursday rushed to the 65-room hotel shortly after authorities received a 9-1-1 emergency call at 7:20 a.m. about a possible shooting hotel. Sheriff’s deputies, who remained at the hotel for much of the day, staged in a rear parking lot.

Alain Negueloua, Bardessono’s general manager,  said on Thursday that sheriff’s deputies were already on scene when he arrived at the hotel at 7:30 a.m., after he was alerted of the emergency.

The deputies blocked off a wing leading to a hotel room Thursday. The wing remained closed to the general public on Friday.

In the meantime, Bardessono, where room rates may hover more than $1,000  a night, has remained open to the public. The hotel was apparently booked solid for Friday.
