The city of St. Helena will celebrate its 150th birthday on Saturday, April 25, with a Sesquicentennial Parade beginning at 1 p.m.

The parade will kick off from Grayson Avenue, travel down Main Street, and conclude at Lyman Park. Along the route, judges will view each entry, while a live emcee in front of the Masonic Lodge/Richie Building (1327 to 1337 Main St.) will announce participants.

This year’s theme, “150 Years of Community Pride,” shines a spotlight on the people, groups and traditions that have shaped St. Helena. Parade entries will showcase what they’re most proud of, bringing history, creativity and hometown spirit to life.

The parade will feature more than 40 entries, including floats, marching bands, performance groups, vintage vehicles and local organizations. From lively musical acts to creative community displays, the procession promises an afternoon full of energy and excitement that reflects the heart and spirit of St. Helena — “small town, big parade.”

The grand marshals of the St. Helena Sesquicentennial Parade are brothers Marc Mondavi and Peter Mondavi Jr., third-generation co-proprietors of Charles Krug Winery. Founded in 1861, the winery was purchased by their grandparents, Cesare and Rosa Mondavi, in 1943. Both grew up on the property and raised their own children there.

After the parade, the celebration continues at Lyman Park. Attendees are invited to enjoy food trucks, music, and time to relax and connect with friends, family and neighbors.
