He has also served Yountville as interim planning and building director, providing him with a strong understanding of the organization and community.

MacNab and his wife of 31 years, Lori, live in Santa Rosa and have two young adult children living in Portland, Oreg., and Chicago, Ill. In his free time, he enjoys mountain biking, outdoor adventures, music and traveling.

MacNab, a CalPERS retiree, will serve under state guidelines that allow for limited-term public service. His appointment began May 5, 2026, and will continue until a permanent town manager is appointed or through Sept. 30, whichever occurs first.

The Town Council said, in a statement, “Ken brings a depth of experience and a strong understanding of Yountville. We appreciate his willingness to step in and provide steady leadership during this transition.”
